Integrated Kitchens: A Harbinger of the Future Home

June 29, 2025

Hi Reader,

This week’s newsletter topic is Integrated Kitchens.

We attended a CEU (Continuing Education Unit) on Integrated Appliances this week at our local Snyder Diamond experiential retail center, presented by Katy O'Connor of Fisher & Paykel (F&P).

Co-sponsored by F&P, Miele, GRAFF, and Wood Stone, the entire event was focused on integrated kitchens and how this sophisticated kitchen design relates to the future of the home.

Over recent years, most homes have been pushed for more day-to-day, as well as intraday, functionality. The same square footage is expected to do more and be more, for today's active homeowners, whose lifestyles continue to evolve.

Kitchens are no longer just rooms with culinary-related appliances used for meal preparation. They are an integral part of the overall home and deserve similar upscale design considerations as other areas.

Gone are cluttered spaces. Walls continue to be demolished to create open, more social designs that transform into the functionality and ambiance needed at the moment.

With increased focus on home wellness and socialization, homes are increasingly becoming the center of social activities, with kitchens leading the way.
