Hi Reader,
As autumn transitions to winter, so also comes severe weather that can affect the comfort and beauty of your home and surrounding landscaping.
This week's newsletter focuses on Winter Preparation of your home and garden, even if you live in a 9, 10 or 11 plant hardiness zone.
Ensuring that your home and outdoor areas are protected and well-insulated against nature's fury, be it snow, frost or heavy rain, should be at the top of your current "To Do" list.
Frost, ice and rain can wreak havoc on your home and property, but damage, discomfort and inconvenience can all be avoided by simply devoting time to careful preparation, well ahead of the onset of inclement weather.
In particular, now is good time to have any key, older systems in your home (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or roofing) proactively inspected to ward off any unanticipated winter-related incidents.
If you do uncover any issues that need addressing, you can be grateful that you are not facing one of the following "insult to injury" scenarios:
- Living in discomfort
- Waiting for a quality contractor to be available
- Hiring a disreputable, inexperienced, or poorly-skilled contractor out of desperation
